Aurélie GAVILLET obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (University of Geneva, 2010), a certificate in Transnational law (University of Geneva, 2010) and a Master’s Degree in International and European Law (Universities of Geneva and Basel, 2011).
She then specialized in Administrative Law, a field in which she obtained a Doctorate in Law with a thesis about administrative practice (University of Geneva, 2017). This work was awarded summa cum laude as well as the 2018 Prof. Walther Hug Prize rewarding the best doctoral theses at the Swiss level.
In parallel with her Law studies, Attorney Aurélie GAVILLET studied Literature and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Geneva in 2015 (Latin and Ancient History, with exchanges at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris and the University College in London).
She was a research and teaching assistant in Administrative Law (2011-2016) and a substitute lecturer (2015-2016) at the University of Geneva.
She was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 2018 (ranking 1st) after completing her traineeship in Geneva, and then worked as a legal clerk at the Geneva Judiciary Power, before setting up as an independent lawyer. In addition to her activity in Administrative Law, she carries out general activity in Civil and Criminal Law, and favors, as far as possible, humane and consensual management of disputes.
Also a lecturer in Legal Methodology at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva and an Assessor Judge at the Lease and Rent Court, she regularly publishes scientific articles in her areas of specialization.
She practices in French, German and English.
